The CUNY Public Interest Law Association (PILA) is a student-run organization at CUNY School of Law that promotes participation in public interest forums and public interest legal work. PILA supports this work through fundraising activities, including the annual PILA Awards Ceremony and Auction. PILA has funded student summer public interest internships for over 15 years. It is an organization that uniquely supports and enhances the mission of CUNY School of Law. PILA’s work exemplifies the law school’s motto by supporting those who practice “Law in the Service of Human Needs.”
